Bali’s Best Eat Awards to Help Visitors Navigate The Maze of Excellent Restaurants Available in Bali
In an effort to create a guide for diners in Bali to select dining venues from the wide range of popular and fine dining destinations available on the Island, FoodieS magazine and Aqua Reflections are presenting Bali’s Best Eats Awards and Guide 2018.
The coming award ceremony in Bali is modeled on the successful Jakarta’s Best Eats Awards and Guide. Jakarta’s Best Eats Awards held in February 2018 recognized the top 40 restaurants in Indonesia’s capital city in the categories of Restaurant of the Year, Chef of the Year, and Bar of the Year.
By expanding this Best Eats concept to Bali, Island visitors will be able to explore the creative talents behind the developing culinary scene in Bali.
A blue-ribbon panel of industry experts, basing their judgments on incognito visits to nominated venues, have been assembled to select the winners. The panel of judges include Chef Yuda Bustara, Ubud Food Festival founder Janet de Neefe, Chef and Hotelier Sandra Djohan, Sommelier and Hotelier Guillaume Epinette, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Baillage Bali member Pierre Lang, Celebrity Chef Rinrin Marinka, President Director of PT Tirta Investama (Danone AQUA) Corine Tap, Bali Food Safari Founder Simon Ward, and Publisher of FoodieSmagazine Jed Doble.
Bali Restaurants will compete in one of three categories: Fine Dining, Upscale Dining, and Casual Dining. Each establishment will be judged on their cuisine, quality of service, drinks menu or wine list, and interior design or character.
Flora Tobing, brand manager of Aqua Reflections and a main sponsor or the awards, said: “We are taking a tangible step to show our commitment as Aqua Reflections in contributing to raising standards in quality for Indonesia’s culinary industry through Bali’s Best Eats. In addition, we hope that Bali’s Best Eats will encourage more local culinary talents to keep progressing and innovating to achieve excellence in the Bali culinary industry”
