To the delight of the Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana Hotel's school holiday guests – many of who were children, a VIP guest checked into hotel on Friday, July 6, 2012,
And, despite the guest’s VIP status, she insisted on carrying her own trunk.
The special guest was
“Ibu” Murni – an adult female Sumatran Elephant who traveled the distance from the
Bali Safari and Marine Park to spend two hours with hotel guests eager to have their photo taken with the elephant in the hotel’s lobby.
Originally from Palembang Indonesia,
“Ibu” Murni is now a permanent resident of Bali, delighting thousands of visitors to the
Bali Safari and Marine Park in Ginayar.
