The Ngurah Rai Airport Customs Office lit a fire on Thursday, October 14, burning a large quantity of items and contraband confiscated by them since 2010.
As reported by Radar Bali, the seized items represented smuggled items, articles band from entry to Indonesia, items considered dangerous to the public or items requiring special import permits
Included in the bonfire or destruction exercise held at the airport were:
- 39 Metal-Body Air Rifles
- 2 firearms
- 26 pieces of ammunition
- 7 sex toys
- 117 hand phones
- 18 kilograms of medications
- 2 surfboards
- 9 kilograms of brochures
Ranking officials of the Customs Office,
the Airport’s management and Airport officials witnessed the fire.
