Indonesian Airline Sriwijaya Air is offering daily flights between Bali and three Chinese cities: Hangzhou, Ningbo and Nanjing.
The flights are part of a short season offering intended to meet higher demand over the Chinese Lunar New Year period and will operate through February.
The flights are being operated by Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft with seating configurations to accommodate 175 passengers, including 8 executive class seats.
The airline is projecting flight loads of 85% for the short-term operation.
The announcement comes as the Indonesian government has set a bold goal of 3 million Chinese tourists to Indonesia in the coming year. This will be an increase from the approximate 800,000 Chinese visitors that came to Bali in 2013.
