Bali Safari & Marine Park has announced the appointment of William Santoso as their new general manager. The former director of sales and marketing at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa will now be in charge of extending hospitality to the hundreds of exotic animals and endangered species housed at the Park and the thousands of international visitors who come to see the animals each day.

Prior to joining the award-winning park Santoso logged 22 years working in the hotel in Europe, United States, the Caribbean, and Bali.

Before landing in Bali, Santoso held postings in United States and the Caribbean where he worked for The Leading Hotels of the World at their headquarter in New York City and Raffles Hotels and Resorts’ New York-based opening team for a property on Canouan Island, in St. Vincent and The Grenadines.

“I have an enormous enthusiasm to start a wonderful journey with wildlife in this thriving Bali Safari & Marine Park and I am also thrilled with the endless opportunity to enhance our customer satisfaction with excellent supporting products and business units such as Elephant Back Safari, Night Safari, a distinctive Tsavo Lion Restaurant, Water Park and Fun Zone amusement center, Bali Agung Theater, and Mara River Safari Lodge,” said Santoso.

Santoso added, “It is my intention to lead our energetic team to provide a better and a more memorable adventurous experience at this outstanding establishment; maintaining our pride as the Indonesia award-winning theme park with A class accreditation through our continuous outstanding care and dedication to wildlife.”

Santoso, originally from Indonesia, is a graduate of Institute Hotelier César Ritz, Le Bouveret, Switzerland and New York Institute of Technology.

Bali Safari & Marine Park covers a 40-acre wooded site in Gianyar serving as a habitat for over 60 species of animals from Indonesia, Africa, and India.

Bali Safari & Marine Park is an international award-winning integrated amusement park with emphasis on conservation, education and cultural development through quality programs ranging from Safari Journey, animal educational shows and Bali Agung Show. Leisure facilities include the world-class Tsavo Lion Restaurant, 1,200-seat Bali Theater, Mara River Safari Lodge, Waterpark and Funzone Entertainment Center.
