Three deaths in as many days have shaken otherwise peaceful South Bali as reported by Radar Bali.
The decomposing body of an unidentified man was found on in the early morning of Tuesday, March 11, 2104, on the shore of Sawangan Beach, Pandawa by an elderly Balinese fisherman who raised the alarm with the police and nearby villagers. The body was that of a well-built man believed to be a Caucasian, still wearing surfing shorts, and estimated to have been in the water for 3-4 days.
The body has been removed to the Sanglah General Hospital Morgue for forensic examination and identification.
On Sunday night, March 9, 2104, another body, that of American William Cragen (31) was discovered in his rented accommodation on Jalan Pantai Sulubahan. Cragen was found dead on a sofa in his room. The owner of the homestay said the American had mentioned his ill health to staff of the small fmily inn where he had bee resident over the past week.
The third death was that of a 20-year-old Balinese man, I Komang Adi Putra, who apparently hung himself on Sunday, March 9, in a seaweed shed on Pandawa Beach. Police say the young man was upset over the state of his personal relationship and sent a girlfriend an SMS picture of the rope he would later use to end his life.
