Metrobali.com reports that a fire at the Alila Villas near Pecatu, South Bali on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 caused no injuries.
The fire that started at 9:00 am caused limited property damage to furnishings on the ground floor of the Resort’s restaurant.
Fire fighters managed to bring the blaze under control within 2 hours with preliminary investigations suggest the cause of the fire was a short circuit.
The head of the Badung Fire Fighters, I Gusti Nyoman Adnyana put the value of the damage caused by the fire at Rp. 300 million (US$26,000). “Fortunately, the management of the hotel informed us quickly, preventing the fire from causing more damage,” said Adnyana.
Police continue to investigate the fire. Operations at the hotel remain uninterrupted with all services operating for the Resort's guests.
