NusaBali reports that although the assault case against the owner of the Feyloon Restaurant, Wong Yu Fai (45), and its manager, Frederick Wong Fei Wah (45), has ended with a conviction against the two men, the State Prosecutors office in Bali continues to investigate allegations of irregularities in how the case was handled.
On Monday, March 10, 2014, a supervisory prosecutorial team interviewed the travel agent who was the victims of the attack, Hendra Haryanto and Rusli Budi Jaya, and their lawyers, I Gusti Ngurah Artana and Wayan Mudita.
Reports filed against the Denpasar lead prosecutor who handled the case center on the passive way he allegedly handled the prosecution, his failure to personally attend court sessions and the demand for eight months imprisonment that resulted in a final sentence of the court of only six months.
Artana also clarified his allegations that the public prosecutor improperly intervened in the case by requesting the victim withdraw his report and replace his legal representation.
