Bali governor Made Mangku Pastika is again calling for the local registration of all vehicles operating on a long-term basis in Bali in order in order to increase regional tax revenues.
Quoted in Metrobali.com, Pastika focused his comments on Bali-based businesses that use out-of-Bali registered vehicles in their daily operations. He specifically mentioned trucks carrying beverages that cause traffic jams and do not have Bali police registration numbers.
“I hope these companies would have the conscience to register their vehicles in Bali in order that our regional tax basis grows generating funds that we can use for the construction and maintenance of our roads,” said Pastika.
