The Bali Statistics Center (BPS) reports that the average length of stay in a starred hotel for both foreign and domestic travelers for the month of February 2014 was 2.89 days, down from the average 3.52 days stay recorded in January.
Quoted in Bisnis Bali, the chief of BPS-Bali Panusunan Siregar said: “Foreign tourists using starred hotels are staying an average 2.82 days, while domestic tourists are staying an average 3.52 days.”
Siregar went on to explain that foreign tourists staying in one-star hotels in February spent 3.15 days while in January that total was 3.31 days.
Two-starred hotel recorded stays by foreign tourists of 3.95 days in February, down from the 4.41 days noted in January.
Three-starred hotels in January saw foreign guests spend 3.24 days, also down from the 3.50 days achieved in January.
Four-starred foreign hotel guests stayed 3.02 days in January, down from 3.95 days spent in January.
Five star hotel guest from abroad stayed 3.53 days in January, increasing from the 3.22 days spent in January.
