Born in Toulon, France in 1979, Obrénovitch studied design and applied arts before moving to Paris to begin work as an art director in new media.

Sharing his time now between Bali and the Reunion Islands, he explores a passion for woodcarving and digital communication.

The current exhibition will see artwork displayed from July 18 until October 18 in Uma Ubud’s in the COMO Shambhala Retreat wellness sanctuary, the pool bar, lobby and Italian-inspired restaurant Uma Cucina.

Meanwhile, other pieces will be on show at sister property COMO
Shambhala Estate
in the lobby, teahouse and Ojas lounge.

Obrénovitch uses 200-year-old teak wood from Java for his work influenced by the notion of the Indonesian forest role as Asia’s lung.

Drawing inspirational from the natural world, Uma Ubud will use monies raised form the exhibition for the ‘Give a Gift that Grows’ Project.'

To mark the opening of the event, a charity dinner will be held at the Uma Ubud’s Cucina Italian restaurant on July 18th, with 25% of the proceeds going to local forest preservation.
