The Lighthouse Bali - a new non-profit foundation in Sanur, Bali dedicated to helping people overcome addiction is holding a evening of music and food in order to raise funds in order to expand its outreach programs to the community.

The event will be held at a private residence on Jalan Pantai Karang #8 in Sanur (the same street as The German Consulate) on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm.

The donation at the door of Rp. 200,000 covers the entertainment and food donated by leading Bali restaurants.

Headlining the night will the acoustical sound of independent singer-songwriter Sue-Anne Stewart. Based in Queensland, Australia, Sue-Anne has performed at musical festivals around the world, sharing the stage with leading performance artists.

Her music bespeaks a solid folk heritage, reflected in her powerful voice and unique vocal styling that are at once strong, clear and unwavering – both in sound and the message her songs convey.

Sue-Anne most recent voyage of motherhood has awakened a new joy in her music seen in her new album “Gypsy Blood” produced with the famed Anthony Lycenko.

“Gypsy Blood” is Sue-Anne's fourth album.

According to Lighthouse Bali director, Alice Dill, the organization’s mission is to provide alcohol and drug addiction treatment to both international and local clients at the lowest possible cost. Operated as a registered Indonesian charitable foundation, there is no waiting list for treatment at Lighthouse Bali. Utilizing a proven program taught by the world famous Halzeden Addiction Treatment Center in the U.S.A.,

Their tailor-made holistic programs follow the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which brings together the realms of the spirit, the human world and nature. This combination helps each client connect with their individual strengths and weaknesses, landing on a solid platform of self-awareness and recovery.

Food for the August 29th fundraiser is provided by a selection of Bali’s top restaurants and all proceeds will benefit this not for profit centre that made affordable treatment plans to western and Indonesian clients.
