Kitesurfing, also referred to as Kiteboarding, is one of the fastest growing extreme sports of the new millennium. Combining elements of water skiing, wakebarding, and para-sailing – enthusiasts speed across the water performing airborne feats that dazzle and amaze spectators on the near shore.
The Yayasan Selancar Angin Bali or The Bali Windsurfing Foundation will host an international competition for this daring new sport on Sanur Beach, June 17-22, 2003.
Dubbed the Bali Kitesurfing Big Air Madness, the event will mark the 3rd year of competition in Bali following the very successful Aerowisata Windsurfing Challenge and the Bali Wind Festival
Perfect Conditions
June is expected to present perfect wind and tidal conditions for competition schedule to take place between June 17-22. In all some 50 competitors representing 10 countries are expected to participate in the Bali event
Coaching clinics will also be offered by world champion participants in the sport during the June event.
