BDC Holdings - a global company headquartered in Dubai, has introduced their newly developed take on an Indian Cuisine Restaurant to Bali. The first Spice Mantraa Restaurant has opened on busy Jalan Kartika Plaza in Kuta, directly opposite the popular Discovery Shopping Centre.

“Bali is one of the world’s most popular destinations for tourists from across the globe and now, we also see Bali, as an emerging International culinary destination. We are here to offer the region a new culinary experience, the true Indian flavors with inspiration.” Explained K.S. Ramakrishnan (Ram), President and CEO of BDC Holdings. Bali was chosen as the launch city for Spice Mantraa, says Ram, as the Island compliments the global appeal and clientele their new concept aims to cater to.

The genesis of BDC Hospitality’s concept for Spice Mantraa was inspired by a desire to showcase the timeless allure of Indian cuisine and present it in the universal context. Spice Mantraa aims to take the diner on a culinary journey of classic Indian fare with a contemporary global twist.

Spice Mantraa offers an eclectic menu inspired by authentic recipes from the length and breadth of India’s diverse culinary canvas spanning Kashmir in the North to the coasts of Kerala in the South and the hamlets of Gujarat in the West to the pristine hills of Arunachal Pradesh in the East. In the words of Spice Mantraa’s creators: “The classics are presented as a series of invocations, mantras that, coupled with the playfulness of molecular gastronomy and avant-garde cuisine, create dishes that will delight the diner with their complexity and wittiness. Spice Mantraa is this alchemy of tastes, reinvented for the modern gourmet by a team of four ambitious and creative chefs from different parts of India.”

The immediate future will see the ‘Spice Mantraa’ chain of restaurants spread to some of the world’s most popular cities, including Singapore, Los Angeles, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, and Mumbai.
