Air Paradise International's (API) imminent commencement of service from Sydney have caused Garuda Indonesia to cut their prices in order to retain their market share.
Garuda is cutting AUS$ 150 (approximately US$ 98) off its cheapest Sydney to Bali round trip economy fare in order to match and beat introductory fares on offer from API. This translates into a fare of AUS$ 649 (approximately US$ 423) on Garuda ex Sydney.
Garuda's response to API's entrance to the marketplace by matching and slashing fares is likely to prolong the period during which Australian travelers from Sydney will enjoy special prices to Bali.
