Garuda Orient Holidays (GOH) the travel wholesale arm of Garuda Indonesia in Australia and New Zealand hosted a unique corporate travel event to thank their island hospitality providers for their hard work and support.
On Sunday, August 30, 2003, GOH staged the Inaugural Garuda Orient Holidays/Bali Hotels Lawn Bowls Tournament at the Island's only fully-fledged lawn bowls facility, Bali International Lawns Bowls Club, located in Nusa Dua.
A total of 15 teams and more than 100 hotel, travel and tourism product representatives turned out for the light-hearted but keenly contested elimination event. The tournament, won by Hotel Padma Bali is planned to become an annual event after the enthusiastic reception given to bowls as a team-building sport.
