The State Ministry for Culture and Tourism have allocated Rp. 600 million (approximately US$ 70,600) to support a domestic tourism exhibition scheduled for Jakarta, October 30 - November 2.
The Exhibition, dubbed Gebyar Wisnus, will be held at the Niaga Complex on Jalan Sudirman in South Jakarta. The total cost of the event is estimated at Rp. 1.6 billion (approximately US$ 188,000), covered by the Tourism grant and private sponsorships and participation fees paid by local hotels, tour operators, attractions and restaurants.
Organizers of the event are targeting an estimated 50,000 visitors to attend the 4 day event showcasing travel products to an increasingly important domestic customer.
