New Zealand's Foreign Minister, Phil Goff, has announced he will travel to Bali to participate in special ceremonies scheduled for October 12, 2003, to commemorate the anniversary of the terrorist bombing attack on local nightspots.
202 people died and over 300 others suffered injuries in the bombing of Paddy's Bar and The Sari Club on October 12, 2002. Three New Zealand citizens were among the dead.
75 survivors and family members of the deceased will join Minister Goff on his trip to Bali on trips paid for by their governent.
The New Zealand Group will join a similar delegation of 1,500 Australians led by Australian Prime Minister John Howard.
