The Indonesian Hotel Company Alila Hotels have moved their corporate headquarters to Singapore coinciding with the expansion of the hotel group from 3 to 5 properties operating on an international basis in both Indonesia and Thailand.
The new Corporate Headquarters in Singapore will open in January 2004 from a location on Scotts Road, relocating from their current Bali locale.
Alila currently operates 3 boutique properties – the Alila Jakarta, Alila Ubud, (formerly The Chedi), and Alila Manggis (formerly The Serai). The Company has recently gone international with the signing of two new management agreements for properties in Phuket and Koh Samui in Thailand.
"The Singapore headquarters will enhance the company's world-class capabilities, including global resort management and the building of strategic partnerships with developers in the region," said Mark Edleson, President of the Alila Group. The re-location to Singapore will facilitate the company's further expansion and accessibility to the group's Asian properties from a more convenient and centralized base giving the company access to more professional support services.
