Effective November 3, 2003, Mr. Joshua Finch assumed the role of U.S. Consular Agent in Bali, replacing Mr. Andrew Toth who served in that capacity for a number of years.
Born in Columbia, Missouri and raised in Wyoming, Joshua Finch pursued a course of Balinese music and dance while an undergraduate at The Colorado College where he performed new music with the Colorado College Bowed Piano Ensemble, touring Europe in 1995 and 1996.
After graduating in 1997, he continued his Indonesian language studies as well as actively performing Balinese music and dance as a graduate student at the University of Wyoming majoring in music theory and composition.
He first visited Bali in 1997 and was later awarded a fellowship to study Indonesian language, music and dance at the Indonesia College of Arts (STSI) from 1999-2000.
In 2000 he taught English in Denpasar and married Warana Tripasasi who hails from East Java.
Joshua's hobbies include hiking, mountain climbing, music and travel.
