One of the most awaited events on the calendar of Bali’s travel Industry, the Grand Hyatt’s Appreciation Party was held on Friday, November 24, 2017 in the Grand Ballroom of the 5-star Nusa Dua Property.

The 12th year of the Grand Hyatt’s Appreciation Party saw more than 400 invitees drawn from travel agents, airlines, and travel media representatives.

Each appreciation party adopts its own theme and this year’s party was no exception using "adopty cosplay" – inspired by Hatsune Miku, a Japanese vocaloid character with a cult following around the world.

With hosts and guests in costumes and anime-themed food stalls, the Grand Ballroom of Grand Hyatt was transformed into a surreal fantasyland.

Executive Chef Greg Odolak set up four food stations comprised of food selections from Southeast Asia, Japan, Italy and Latin America. Behind each station stood scaffolding serving as a dance stage for go-go girls who danced non-stop throughout the evening.

And, as in years past, the sales and marketing team of the hotel prepared impressive production numbers. Each team member was dressed as a different character, from Hatsune Miku to Joker, as they danced to Japanese pop tunes. The performance, which had been practiced for a month, was warmly welcomed by the audience.

The party continued with fun games followed by prizes for the best dressed and door prizes.

Three best dressed winners - Dewi from Epicure magazine, Suchy from Lotus Asia Tours, and Valeriya from Navigator won stays at a Hyatt property including flights for two. Brigitta from Bali Event won the door prize - a three-night stay at Grand Hyatt Bangkok and a two-night stay at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin including flights for two.
