www.alanismorissette.com reports that super-star singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette will be spending the Christmas Holidays in Bali.
Morissette's inaugural 1995 album Jagged Little Pill sold more than 30 million copies and launched the massive career of the young and very talented Canadian. In the intervening years since her debut she's gone on to produce more hit recordings; won numerous Grammy Awards; made record breaking concert tours; and appeared in various film, TV and stage productions.
Press reports indicate that Alanis Morissette will be traveling to Bali with her fiancé, Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, opting to spend their first Christmas together away form family on the world's most romantic island.
Reynolds was quoted in the U.K. entertainment press saying: "This is the first time, actually, that we've been away from our family - and hopefully not the last! Indonesia, that's as far away as you can get from the Reynolds' family."
"It's a long flight; I think it's like just short of the Moon or something. You go in sleeping pod, you wake up, it's five years later and you're in Indonesia wearing a sarong."
Just short of the moon? We'll have to forgive Ryan his obvious shortcomings in the study of geography.
Where are the two love-birds staying in Bali? balidiscovery.com's not talking, preferring to allow the couple a well deserved rest and a modicum of privacy during their Bali interlude.
However, if you're in Bali over Christmas, keep an eye out for a jet-lagged couple wearing sarongs.
