The South Kuta Beach Business Association (SKBBA) supported by TELKOM and Kabelvision have come to the rescue in the shortfall of public access trash bins for Kuta by placing 30 double container garbage bins in the area between the Airport and Kuta Square.
The brightly and high visible orange and blue colored bins will form the new collection point for rubbish that in the past ended up on roads and sidewalks. Ecologically correct, the bins are marked for separating plastic and cans from other refuse in an effort to support recycling efforts on the island.
Mr. Urs Klee, SKBBA chairman, mentioned that this is a good example of cooperation between the private sector and the government, whereby SKBBA, Telkom and Kabelvision have sponsored the garbage bins and the local Parks Department (DKP) will empty then on a scheduled basis.
