The July 4, 2005 on-line edition of the Bangkok Post carries an article aptly titled: [Bali is back with a style that draws attention].
Using as his point of departure a review of the recently published Bali Guide "Bali Chic" (Paperback: 232 pages; Publisher: Editions Didier Millet , March 30, 2005. ISBN: 9814155020), Johnson, who is the Managing Director of Asia Books Publishing, looks at a number of hotel, restaurant and shopping venues in Bali as proof that Bali is indeed back – proud, defiant and with a style that’s all its own.
Johnson says, "Bali is touching all of the hip bases in its return to prominence. In short it is back, and moreover, very much en vogue."
The Bangkok Post article visits Bali's newly renovated [Sofitel Seminyak], trendy Ku De Ta Restaurant, Toko East, Treasures (Ubud) and Warisan Gallery in Johnson's testimonial to the island's position as on the cutting edge of "new world style."
"Bali Chic,", by Susi Johnston and Don Bosco, is a modern traveler's guide to Bali that provides indepth reviews of 50 properties together with handy advice on many local attractions.
