Kathy Loper Events, a company that organizes running events around the world, is bringing a group of runners to the island of Bali to participate in the 4th running of the Bali Marathon scheduled for Sunday, April 7, 2002. The various packages of running and cultural contacts are the creation of famous marathoner Kathy Loper and Kurt Bodmer - a well known tour operator in the U.S.A. and dedicated runner in his own right.
3 different packages are available - including a 12 day, 10 day or 14 day program. The offers include air fare from the U.S.A., accommodation, breakfast each day, all transfers, a program of tours and sightseeing in Bali, a dinner at a Balinese Royal Palace, post marathon massages, pre-race and post race dinner parties, and registration for the marathon.
Participants are provided the option of running the full 42 kilometer marathon, a half marathon (21 kilometers) or a 10 kilometer run. The race will be run in Bali's beautiful and historical east coast region with scenery so interesting with some runners actually slowing down just to admire the views.
