(8/8/2005)

As a follow-up to his much acclaimed MICE Money Making Seminar held in Bali in September of 2004, travel marketing guru Bert van Walbeek of The Winning Edge in Bangkok, Thailand, will return to Bali to conduct another course on September 5 & 6, 2005.

Selling Bali

Set in the Bali International Convention Center (BICC) in Nusa Dua, Bert will present 12 interactive modules designed to sharpen participants selling, negotiating and presentation skills with a special emphasis on the lucrative meeting and incentive markets.

Among the areas scheduled to be covered in the 2-day seminar entitled "Selling Bali: Meetings and Incentives as a Tool!" are the importance of personal sales; destination selling; how to make the perfect sales call; developing presentation skills; preparing effective proposals; negotiation strategies and tactics; and how you can become the "complete negotiator."

Conducted in English with extensive supporting course material, the course is designed to develop the skills of senior middle management in the hotel, tour and travel, and destination management industries.

Bert van Walbeek

With nearly four decades of tourism industry experience to his credit, Bert van Walbeek is widely sought out for his insightful and entertainingly delivered views on problem solving and opportunity creation in the areas of tourism management and marketing. Active in a number of regional and international tourism organizations, Bert van Walbeek participated in the Pacific Asia Travel Associations (PATA) Bali Recovery Task Force conducted in the months following the October 2002 terrorist attack.

Popular for the valuable insights his entertaining presentations provide, Bert has conducted a series of Bali seminars to full-house gatherings of senior travel professionals.

Conducted by Bali Discovery Tours in cooperation with Travel Works Communications, the two-day seminar on "Selling Bali: Meetings and Incentives as a Tool" - September 5 and 6, 2005, costs Rp. 1.8 million and includes all course materials, 4 coffee breaks, two lunches, a completion certificate, and a course-completion cocktail gathering on the final day. Additional discount is available to Companies registering more than one participant at the event.
