Bali News: The Legian Takes the Fifth  - By Storm

The Legian the all-suite beach side property in Bali is celebrating birthday number 5 with a special celebration of gastronomy and jazz music, September 21-23, 2001. Three consecutive days of culinary and musical delight are being presented by the hotel with a portion of the proceeds going to the Bali Hati Charity Foundation in support of medical and educational projects on the island.

The Schedule:

Friday, September 21, 2001.

Guest Executive Chef Grant MacPherson of the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas will prepare a 5-course gourmet dinner accompanied by fine wines from the Beringer Vineyards. Prior to dinner, starting at 19:00 hours, guests will be welcomed in the Lobby Lounge Bar with a Cuban-style cocktail, sparkling wine, rum-based concoctions, and light Canapes. Music during cocktails will provided by a live Jazz band followed by the piano artistry of Ms. Otti Jamalus during the dinner which will get underway at 20:30 hours. Price: US$ 75.00 per person.

Saturday, September 22, 2001.

Starting from 19:30 hours, The Legian's Chef Dorin Schuster combines talents with The Bellagio's Grant MacPherson in The Restaurant for a gourmet feast accompanied by wines, cocktails and drinks from their sister hotel, The Setai in Miami.

Meanwhile, in the Hotel's gardens and at The Pool, an international buffet including Indonesian, Malaysian, Thai, Burmese, Chinese and Middle Eastern delicacies will be served.

As the evening draws to a close, a cup of Formosa Tea from the Company's new hotel (under development) - The Lalu in Taiwan will be presented in The Beach House. Price: US$35.00 per person.

Sunday, September 23, 2002.

An brunch of Jazz and delicious dining commences from 10:30 am until 15:00 hours in the The Restaurant and at The Pool. Lunch includes The Legian's sparkling wine and music from Otti Jamalus. Price: US$ 30.00 per person.
