The 2nd Annual Bali Orchid Show will be held June 14-20, 2006 will be held in Kuta's Central Parking Area.
The event will feature competitions among orchid growers, sales stands for the public to purchase blooms, a meeting point for those wishing to export orchids from Indonesia, and a clinic where consumers can obtain advice on how to grow the flowers.
69 sales booths featuring the entire range of orchids available in Indonesia will be on display including special presentations from growers from Malaysia and Singapore.
Organized by the Bali Orchid Society the them for the June event is "Orchid as an Agricultural Product in Supports of Tourism."
The 1st Bali Orchid Show took place in April 2005.
Indonesia's orchid population is among the world's most diverse, ranked second only to Brazil. Of the 26,000 orchid species known in the world, 5,000 are to be found in Indonesia representing an export market valued at US$3 million.
