Gado Gado Returns

Gado Gado the well-known and sometimes notorious nightclub of an earlier era in Bali is back in a new incarnation. The Gado Gado Kafe and Beach Club has officially re-opened in its new guise as a sophisticated-yet-casual, fine dining café and beach club.

The restaurant offers a menu created by Chef Herbert, a native of Austria, incorporating local and traditional ingredients in signature dishes and a number of other dishes influenced by the cuisines of Europe and Asia. Owner and prominent Bali businessman, Pak Kadek, affirmed his excitement for Chef Herbert's culinary skills and described the restaurant's concept saying, "I wanted a new concept for Bali. Gado Gado Kafe and Beach Club will offer the finest and freshest foods available, in an atmosphere that is world-class, yet relaxed. We have spared no expense on the state-of-the-art kitchen facilities, and this will come through in the food."

The dramatic 140-seat restaurant has been completely remodeled. An added feature is an upstairs, private dining room overlooking the restaurant and beach, which can be reserved for parties of up to fourteen guests. Also featured is a large wooden deck overlooking the beach, which can be booked for special events.
