Bali stayed on track for a record year with April 2008 arrivals totaling 147,515, an improvement of 17.88% over April 2007 (125,140). On an aggregate basis for January-April 2008, Bali has accumulated 594,068 visitors showing a year-on-date increase of 25.74% over the same period in 2007 (472,450).
Projected Arrivals for 2008
If current trends continues, Bali could end the year with foreign tourist arrivals of around 2.1 million.

Key Markets
A quick review of April 2008 arrivals show:
Japanese arrivals for April 2008 equaled 23,537, declining -1.1% from April 2007 (23,810).
Australian arrivals for April 2008 hit 21,259, up +41.3% month on month from April 2007 (15,046),
The People's Republic of Chinas produced 9,693 visitors in April 2008, up 103.1% from the 4,771 PRC visitors in April 2007.
Taiwan visitors hit 11,295 in April 2008, improving 1.8% over the same month one year ago (11,090).
South Korean arrivals for April were 11,755 - improving 16.6% over 2007 (10,080).
ASEAN arrivals dropped slightly in April at 12,824 as compared to the 13,493 ASEAN visitors in April 2007, a decrease of 5%.
Visitors from The Americas (both North and South) were 8,074 in April 2008 up 9.2% from one year ago (7,396).
European arrivals for April 2008 totaled 42,035 improving 23% from April 2007 (34,182).
Aggregate Performance
On an aggregate basis for January April 2008 versus 2007:
Japanese arrivals increased 9.92%
Australian arrivals jumped a whopping 54.27%.
Taiwanese arrivals have increased 11.22%.
Peoples Republic of China arrivals have increased 96.39%.
South Korean arrivals increased 12.24%.
Malaysia arrivals improved 9.53%.
Russian arrivals improved 62.63%.
U.K. Arrivals are up 23.59%.
German arrivals have improved 27.70%.
U.S.A. arrivals are up 30.01%
