MRA Bali International Triathlon to Feature World Class Sports Commentator Whit Raymond.

(6/8/2010)

The 4th MRA Bali International Triathlon is welcoming on board a world-class event commentator and vocal talent to join its world-class event. Whit Raymond, a Japan-based triathlon commentator, also lovingly known as the "Energizer Bunny," has been contributing his vocal talents at major sporting events since 1993. His keen passion for sport and infectious vocal style have been employed at the finish line of such events as the Hawaii Ironman World Championships, Xterra World Championships, The Raid Adventure Racing World Championships and Ironman Japan. Fluent in Japanese and his native English, Whit is particularly in demand at Japanese sporting events.

Michelle Gailey Returns to Bali

Michelle Gailey, last year's overall female winner at the 3rd MRA International Triathlon, is returning to Bali to participate in this year's event. The young Australian triathlete who earned first overall female honors in the recent Northern Territory State Championship in both Olympic and sprint distances, will return to the field of contenders at this year's MRA BIT. Last year, she clocked 02:36:39 in the Olympic distance event. Michele arrives in Bali with the personal aim of beating her own person best in Bali from last year's race.

Registrations

Three weeks prior to race day, registrations year-on-year are running 25% ahead of last year's MRA BIT. New registrations continue to flow in at a brisk pace with added interest in this year's addition of the additional Sprint Distance category comprised of 500 meter swim, 20 kilometer cycle course and a 5 kilometer road run for new athletes trying out for the very first time and or those more comfortable with shorter distance. And, for the purest, the Olympic distance race continues to draw both individuals or three-person relay teams.

Registration and More Information

On line registration is available until June 15, 2010 at [MRA Bali Triathlon Website].

On-Site Registration will be available on June 18 & 19 at the race secretariat, Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay.
