The Jakarta Post that seven Indonesian travel agents have been ordered to reimburse the government for Rp. 1.5 billion (US$165,000) for "marking up" prices charged for overseas journeys by government officials.
The seven companies told to pay up are: Sheila Tour, Pan Travel, Anugrah Travel, Bimatama Tour, PT Indowanua Inti Sentosa, PT Kintamani and PT Laser.
The instructions were issued by a government Inspector-General, Diene S. Muharjo following the trial of Ade Wismar Wijaya who was accused of embezzling state funds during his employment with the Indonesia Department of Foreign Affairs.
