Preparing for the Unexpected

A one-day seminar to assist tourism and communication professionals prepare emergency and crisis management communication plans will be held in Bali on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at the Inna Putri Bali Hotel in Nusa Dua.

Organized by PT Alam Bahana Cipta, the seminar will feature leading experts in the field of public relations.

According to Gilda Sagrado, one the organizers of the seminar and a well-known Bali-based TV, radio and public relations personality: "A guest gets sick after dining at our restaurant. A child dies while playing at our pool. An old lady trips one of your cables and breaks an ankle. Anything can happen! Crisis comes unexpectedly and we thus must be prepared. We cannot hide away, especially from the media. We don't want people to get the wrong idea or make up their own interpretations."

Gilda will share the stage with experts who will share insights and strategies on how to best protect and represent a company's interest when crisis strikes. Also appearing will be SCTV anchor Sella Wangkar and Voice of America personality Sondang Sirait.

Course registration costs Rp. 995,000 (US$108) and includes the full day seminar (9:00 am – 5:00 pm), course material, lunch, coffee breaks and a course completion certificate.
