Bali Hai Cruises have installed a new pontoon in Lembongan Bay at Nusa Penida near the company’s Beach Club. The pontoon is where the popular Bali Hai II ties up each day, bringing hundreds of visitors to enjoy the wide range of ocean-based and land-based activities that Bali Hai boasts is a “100% holiday in just one Day.”
Reef Cruise guests will use the new pontoon to enjoy a variety of water-sports, including snorkeling and semi-submersible rides. The pontoon consists of a main deck, sun deck and built-in under water observatory. Also on offer are a shaded, comfortable area with access points for snorkeling , diving and banana boat rides. Six self-enclosed changing rooms with fresh water showers allow guest to change and freshen up before joining the late afternoon cruise back to Bali. Two toilet facilities are connected to an eco-friendly waste-water treatment plant reflecting
Bali Hai's corporate commitment to sustainable tourism.
The pontoon also serves as a “mother-ship” for Bali Hai’s semi-submersible used to view the wide variety of marine life. The pontoon is also the embarkation point for the transfer boats used for shuttling guests to
Bali Hai’s Beach Club, the shore site for delicious mid-day BBQs and the starting point for well-attended village tours.
The new pontoon retains all the popular features of the original
Bali Hai Pontoon but incorporates a number of improvements that includes wooden decking throughout and stainless steel-railings, providing guests with much better ocean views. Also certain to be a hit with visitors is a 35-meter water slide that allows guests to descend from the top of the pontoon into the clear blue sea. Nearby, guests can practice flips off a fixed diving board. Other features include scuba access through the centre of the pontoon for ease of entry into the rich coral depths that surround Lembongan Island. Weather-resistant sun sails offer shade on the upper deck.
An experience of ultimate indulgence awaits on massage tables that are also situated on the upper deck. Lockers are available to store valuables.
Another exciting aspect of the new pontoon is its ability to host “sun-downers” and night time parties, promising to be a fantastic new venue for Bali visitors and groups. Guest can now book the pontoon for a special celebration or company outing while watching the sunset over Lembongan Bay. And, of course, a full-service bar offers exotic cocktails and cold drinks.
