Rabies has taken more victims in Bali with the death of three patients in the isolation war of Bali's Sanglah General Hospital in Denpasar.
The three latest fatalities claimed by rabies were I Dewen (22) of Bangli on February 20, 2011; and Wayan Laut (66) of Nusa Penida and Ketut Karnu (62) of Karangasem who both perished on Tuesday, February 22, 2011.
Since the first cases of rabies were reported in late 2008, 124 people have died due to suspected cases of rabies.
Vowing to have Bali once-again rabies free by 2013, the government has undertaken mass vaccination programs together with selective culling of stray dogs.
