When we first heard that Nigel Mason, the owner of the Bali Adventure Elephant Park, is featured in the current issue of Australian Penthouse we were perplexed. In a magazine banned in Indonesia for its tantalizing photos of the female form, our shocked inclination was to ask the following: a) Had Nigel undergone a sex change operation? b) Had Australia's "fairer" sex slid into an unfathomable decline that pictures of Nigel were now somehow comparably interesting? Or, c) Does Nigel now have two staples permanently embedded in his abdomen after serving as the April Centerfold?
To the relief of all, the answer to this impromptu quiz is: "none of the above."
We now have it from reliable sources who have actually seen the
Penthouse April 2011 edition, that Nigel is lovingly featured in a article entitled
"Tusk Force" conveying the epic story of Nigel's rise from a miscreant London street "toughie," to manual laborer in Australia, to his current incarnation as the "man in charge" of a herd of 27 Sumatran elephants at his award-winning elephant park in Bali.
Operated with his beautiful wife, Yanie, the Park is a "must do" stop for every Bali visitor; a fact evidenced by recent visits by the likes of Julia Roberts, Tony Blair, Calvin Klein and Michael Franti.
Shown on
balidiscovery.com are some picture from
Penthouse's coverage of Nigel and his Park.
But, sorry to disappoint: no centerfold.
