Dutch National Imprisoned For Violating Work Permit by Selling Illegal Motorcycles in Bali

A 58-year-old Dutch national has been sentenced to nine months prison by the Denpasar district court for misusing his temporary resident permit
Kompas.com reports that Hendrik Salomon Blom was found guilty of using a permit to work with PT Lestari Management to open a large motorcycle sales outlet.
Blom's working papers permitted him to work in “business development” at PT Lestari in the area of property consultancy when he was discovered running a company selling unregistered large motorcycles.
Bloms is listed with a website offering his service in real estate sales and property consultancy.
Blom has accepted the sentence of the court with only 2 months left to serve on his 9-month sentence after time spent in detention awaiting trial is credited to his sentence.
The Dutchman was arrested on January 26, 2011 by immigration and police authorites operating a motorcycle sales outlet from his home in Denpasar.
