The First Bali Wine Auction will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the AYANA Resort and Spa Bali.
Sponsored by Lotus Distribution who operate The Gourmet Garage and The Cellar Door in Jimbaran, [Lotus Food Distribution Website] funds raised from the event will be donated to the Bali Hotels Association (BHA) to be used to promote wine education among your Balinese hospitality professionals.
The event will get underway with an one-hour “brown-bag” wine tasting featuring 3 white and 3 red wines with canapés provided by the AYANA Resort and Spa, Bali. This will be followed by a two-hour auction during which an amazing array of gift items from leading hotels, restaurants, wine distributors, airlines and merchants will be auction to the highest bidder. A website listing all the auction lots will be launched soon permitting on-line bidding for those unable to attend the actual auction.
Those attending will pay Rp. 250,000 (US$27.50) which will cover the cost of admission to the auction and wine tasting, a chance to wine an exciting door prize and a copy of the auction catalog. Tickets will go on sale by mid-November, but can be pre-booked now by emailing to [Advance Order Wine Auction Tickets email]
Among the auction items are premier bottles of wine, cases of wine for leading Wine Distributors, wine tastings, fine wine from Singapore Airline’s First Class, cooking lessons, suite stays at leading hotels in combination with memorable wine dinners – just to name a few.
