A Dharma workshop on the use of the Eastern traditions of movement and meditation in order to integrate Buddhist practice with healthy lifestyles will come to Ubud, Bali - February 4-5, 2012.
Dharma teacher Rod Lee of the
Tibetan Buddhist Society of Sydney will lead the workshop. He is a professional Shiatsu massage therapist and 30-year veteran of Tai Chi practice.
During the two-day workshop, Rod will help participants explore how Eastern mind-body traditions can be combined with the teachings of the Buddha to strengthen both physical and mental well-being, and to support a life of wisdom and compassion.
The requested fee for this two-day workshop:
- Foreign visitors: Rp. 1,400,000 (US$155
- Local expatriates: Rp. 700,000 (US$77)
- Indonesian citizens: Rp. 350,000 IUS$39)
Course fee includes a choice of freshly prepared soup, juice, and tea each day courtesy of
Betel Nut Restaurant in Ubud.

Participation in the Workshop will also support the Dharma desire of the
Ubud Buddhist Group (UBG), followers of the teachings of the Dalai Lama and Dagpo Lama Rinpoche, to establish a retreat and study center in the hills of Bali. The
UBG has recently acquired an 1.8 hectares parcel of land and are now raising funds to build the centre. The future center has already been given a name by the Dalai Lama of “
Ser Ling Chö Kor Ling” -
“The Place of the Turning of the Dharma Wheel in the Land of Gold .”
