Bali’s governor Made Mangku Pastika is predicting that 5 million tourists will visit Bali by 2015.
As reported by Beritabali.com, the governor’s prediction is based on Bali’s improving infrastructure and the steady growth in arrivals.
According to Pastika, the increasing number of international conferences and international activities effectively provides free tourism promotion for Bali, such as the APEC conference and Miss World, both of which to be held in 2013. The governor also feels the tourism numbers to Bali will only grow if security is maintained and improves over the coming years.
“Whenever our political, security and social situation remains stabile and conducive, I am certain. In 2015 we can have 5 million tourists,” said Pastika.
The governor predicts that Bali will achieve 3 million foreign tourist arrivals in 2012.
