On the 10th Anniversary of the 2002 Bali Bombing that killed 202 people and injured scores of other, the Australian government will be holding memorial services on October 12, 2012 in the Australian capital of Canberra and Bali.
The Australian government is providing official assistance to survivors and families of the Bali Bombing to allow them to travel to Bali and participate in the memorial.
88 Australians lost their lives in the terrorist attack on two Bali nightspots ten years ago.
The Great Hall of Parliament House in the Australian capital will be the scene of a ceremony that will start at 9:30 am local time on October 12, 2012.
The Bali service is expected to draw thousands and will be held at The Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park (GWK) in Jimbaran.
Open to the public but with limited seating, those attending are reminded to bring sun protection (hats, sun glasses and sunscreen).
The ceremony will start at 8:00 am local time. Bali participants are requested to arrive at 7:00 am when a program of music will commence.
To facilitate the security screen process, participants are asked not to bring bags. Those bringing bags are, however, advised not to bring a bag larger than an A4 piece of paper.
