No less than 9,000 police personnel will be deployed to safeguard Bali’s gubernatorial election taking place on May 15, 2013,
As reported by the State New Agency Antara, Bali’s chief of police, General Arif Wachyunadi, said he would dedicate two-thirds of the total police personnel in Bali to ensure the race for governor goes smoothly.
The total police personnel assigned to Bali number 12,000 officers.
Authorities have devised an operational plan to safeguard the coming governor’s race, a plan police will revisit and modify once a final list of candidates is in hand.
