After announcing plans to resume schedule air service to London, Garuda Indonesia will also fly to six more European and Middle Eastern destinations as part of a code-share agreement with Etihad Airways, the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates.
The new services will provide Indonesians in inbound tourists to Indonesia with flight connections to Frankfurt, Brussels, Milan, Dusseldorf, Munich and Bahrain.
Under the terms of an agreement formalized in October 2012, Etihad Airway's network of 80 destinations in 50 countries will be available on an inter-airline basis to Garuda Indonesia passengers.
Etihad Airways will market Garuda services to Denpasar, Manado, Surabaya, Balikpapan, Makassar, Amsterdam and Abu Dhabi through its existing international marketing network.
Etihad passengers throughout the Middle East and Europe will also be able to book tickets and fares to Australia under the terms of the code-share agreement.
