The clock is rapidly ticking down to the 7th running of the BIZNET Bali International Triathlon set for Sunday, June 23, 2013.

With just three months left until race day, registrations for the event dubbed as “the triathlon for the soul” are running more than 50% ahead of last year for the Olympic distance, sprint and 5 kilometer fun run. Corporate challenges with collaborative teams comprised of three-person-teams sharing cycling, swimming and running responsibilities continue to be popular.

The event will be headquartered at the InterContinental Resort Bali from where the Olympic distance event will begin with an early morning 1.5-kilometer swim in the waters of Jimbaran Bay. Swimmers will return to the transition area in the gardens of the hotel to commence a 42-kilometer bicycle race down the Island’s southernmost peninsula returning again to the hotel to start final 10-kilometer run down a new-running-race course past the Four Seasons in the direction of the AYANA Resort and Spa, Bali.

Staggered starts will take place throughout the morning for the shorter distance sprint event and a 5-kilomter fun run.

All the popular elements from past BIZNET Bali International Triathlon return in 2013 including the welcoming cocktail party on Friday night, pre-race bicycle tours of the race routes, traditional bike blessings, race briefings, high-carbohydrates dinner on the eve of the race and the popular rock-the-race party on the esplanade at the AYANA Resort.

The leading five-star hotels of Jimbaran will return to support the 2013 race including the InterContinental Bali Resort, AYANA Resort and Spa Bali, Four Seasons Resort at Jimbaran Bay and, joining the event for the fist time, Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran.

Also back to support the 2013 race are BIMC Hospital Bali, Jeggala Ceramics and the Bali Hotels Association.
