Organizers of the Indonesian MICE and Corporate Travel Mart 2013 (IMCTM) have moved that event from Padang, West Sumatra to Bandung, West Java to be held April 9-12, 2013.

Promoted at the largest corporate travel mart in Asia, the Bandung event was moved due to the relatively higher state of readiness of the West Java Capital to host the mart with the theme: “Regional Corporate and MICE Summit Under One Roof.”

Bandung is a cool hilltop city with a population of more than 2.5 million. Surrounded by volcanic mountains and with a well-developed tourism infrastructure, textile, manufacturing and financial industry - Bandung is a major economic, business and MICE hub (meetings, incentive, conferecne and exhibition) in Indonesia.

More than 80 brands representing Destination management companies, international chain hotels, local chain hotels, hotels and resorts have already confirmed participation as IMCTM sellers.

Additional buyers continue to be recruited for the event with participation limited to leading companies with proven travel producing profiles.

Tabletop session between 200 senior marketing and decision makers and more than 100 sellers of travel products form the core focus on IMCTM.

Among the brands confirmed to participate at IMCTM are Swiss-Belhotel Indonesia, The Sultan Hotel Jakarta, Destination Asia, Palace Hotel Cipanas – Puncak, Best Western ADO Indonesia, JS Luwansa Hotel & Convention Center, Bidakara Hotel Group, Jambuluwuk Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Borobudur Jakarta, Mercure Batam Hotel, Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa, The Atanaya, Harris Hotel & Conventions, Venue Magz, PT. Intiwiz International, PT. Intiwiz International, PT. Intiwiz International, PT. Intiwiz International, Melia Bali, PT. Karma Resorts, The Trans Luxury Hotel, Lv8 Resort Hotel Canggu Bali, Marbella Indonesia, The Chateau Spa & Organic Wellness Resort, Hotel Pangeran Pekan Baru, MaxOneHotels, Lorin Sentul Hotel, Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana, Stones Hotel Bali, Lotus Hotels, Mercure Convention Center, The Papandayan, An Phong Tourist & Trade Co.,Ltd, GH Universal, Hotel Horison Semarang, Aston Denpasar Hotel & Convention, Anahata Villas & Spa Resort Ubud-Bali, Novus Puncak Resort & Spa, Daluman Villa, Kagum Hotels Management, Jayakarta Hotel Bandung, Puri Casablanka, Narmada Convention Hall, Kuta Beach Heritage and Amazing Hotel.

Bank Negara Indonesia serves as the IMCTM 2013 official bank partner.

According to Panca Rudolf Sarungu, Chairman RajaMICE and Head of IMCTM 2013 Organizing Committee: “By bringing buyers and suppliers together in a single B2B forum, IMCTM strives to advance the MICE industry locally and regionally through table top sessions and the promotion of best practices in MICE management. The four-day event promises to provide detailed information on MICE suppliers, located mostly in Indonesia. Together with 80-plus sellers representing domestic and global hospitality brands, travel agents, resorts, conventions, venue operators, 100-plus Corporate buyers from IMCTM’s banking partner and other decision makers and influencers representing top multinational companies in and across Indonesia, IMCTM will facilitate a one-to-one business session platform for its delegates under one roof. The event will create at least 10000 scheduled business sessions”

Indonesia’s economy is growing at over 6% annually and air travel in the country is increasing by 16%, recognized as a country with among the most stable records of growth by The World Bank and Asian Development Bank. Indonesia’s growth rate in the years ahead is predicted to rival that of Singapore and Hong Kong. Domestic tourist traffic is rapidly expanding with an estimated 245 million domestic trips to be taken in 2012 with US$ 18 billion in travel-related expenditures.

Indonesia is also expected to achieve a targeted 10 million in-bound tourists by 2014. Outbound players will benefit from a 15% increase in airline connectivity including additional frequencies by low-cost-carriers.

It is against this background the Indonesia MICE and corporate Travel Mart returns for its 6th edition offering a strategic platform for both domestic and overseas destinations, and travel and tourism suppliers to meet under one roof over 2 days of B2B sessions alongside a program of eisure activities planned for the delegates.
