The Australian-based international research firm, Roy Morgan Research, have named Garuda Indonesia as “2012 Domestic Airline of the Year” based on a survey of Indonesian consumers.
As reported by Bisnis.com, the award was presented by Roy Morgan’s regional director for Asia, Debnath Guharoy and the company’s international director, Ira Soekirman, to Garuda’s CEO, Emirsyah Satar on Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Jakarta.
The award was based on interviews with 28,000 Indonesian consumers surveying their tastes on goods and services including favorite airline.
93.3% of the Indonesian respondents gave Garuda Indonesia a “satisfactory” rating for service, a rating substantially higher than that given to any other domestic airlines in Indonesia.
Last year, Garuda Indonesia was named “Best International Airline” in a survey conducted by Roy Morgan Research.
