Kid’s Play So Kids Can Play

Indonesian Idol Kamasean Matthews to Perform for Children at Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali on Friday, July 12, 2013

The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali has announced its next UNICEF Check Out For Children charity event - a concert by talented Indonesian Idol finalist, Kamasean Matthews.


This special performance will take place in the Mangupura Hall on Friday 12th July 2013.

At just 17 years of age, Kamasean was the youngest contestant in Indonesian Idol history when she participated in this national competition in 2012. A star of the social network, Kamasean is a YouTube sensation, and has thousands of followers on Twitter as well as Facebook.

Blessed with a magical voice that transcends almost all musical genres her voice bridges generations in a single song. She is also an accomplished composer and plays several instruments, including the piano and guitar.

During her appearance at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali, Kamasean Matthews will meet and greet fans with an exclusive one-hour sharing session. The main show will see Kamasean perform an uplifting selection of popular hits including her recently released track entitled 'How Could You' . There will also be a musical collaboration with children from a local choir and some of the best performers from leading musical school around Bali.

Tickets for the Gala Show - 'An Inspiring Evening with Kamasean Matthews' starts at 7:00 pm are priced at just IDR 75,000 per person (US$7.50) and IDR 50,000 per child (US$5).

Limited places for the meet and greet session from 5:30 – 6:30 pm will be available for IDR 150,000 inclusive of one-hour exclusive session with Kamasean that includes a photo memento and certificate. This will be a unique opportunity for aspiring singers to meet the Kamasean in person.

All proceeds will be donated directly to a UNICEF to a project that provides educational opportunities and vaccinates children across the Asia Pacific region.

For the past 18 years Starwood Hotels and Resorts has partnered with UNICEF to raise funds for a number of worthy causes that benefit impoverished children around the world. In the Asia Pacific region alone, the UNICEF Check Out For Children Program has supported the immunization of thousands of young women and children against a number of preventable diseases.
