Leeuwin Estate is located in one of the world’s most spectacular and isolated wine regions, Margaret River, Western Australia. The area that produces Leeuwin Estate Wines has earned an international reputation for outstanding wines, staging spectacular alfresco concerts and for its eclectic collection of Australian art.
In 1972, following an extensive search for the area most suitable to produce the best varietal wines in Australia, legendary Napa Valley winemaker, Robert Mondavi, identified the future site of the Leeuwin vineyard. With Mondavi acting as consultant and mentor during Leeuwin’s establishment, the winery has evolved under the direction of the Horgan family and now exports its wines to over 30 countries.
Amanusa’s Italian Restaurant, located on a hilltop overlooking Nusa Dua, will presents an evening inspired by Australia’s Leeuwin Estate Winery on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Guests will discover the impressive culinary talents of Amanusa Executive Chef – Chau Doan carefully paired with the fine wines from Leeuwin Estate Wineries.
Simone Furlong will also join the dinner, showcasing her family’s wines and telling the story of the Estate’s 40-year journey celebrating fine wine, food and the arts.
Starting at 7:00 pm canapés will be served in the bar accompanied by Leeuwin Estate Sibling Sauvignon Blanc 2009. A five-course degustation menu follows, showcasing:
