Bali Zoo will debut three successive days of Eat Play Learn at its first Jungle Festival, September 27-29, 2013.
In keeping with Bali Zoo's commitment to conservation, educational and recreation, the Zoo invites kids to be creative, imaginative and get involved in the preservation of endangered animals and the surrounding environment by attending and participating in the inaugural Jungle Festival 2013.
Bali Zoo also invites the general public to attend and participate in Jungle Festival 2013 operating under the theme “Eat,Play Learn.”
The festival combines entertainment and education through workshops, retail booths, games, movies, live performances, dance acts, standup comedy, and a host of other entertainments.
To mark the opening of the festival on September 27, the general manager of Bali Zoo, Lesmana Putra, will release a number of Gelatik birds to demonstrate how to preserve the natural environment. Gelatik Jawa is a bird native to Java and Bali. Formerly widespread and abundant in their habitat, numbers of Gelatik Jawa have fallen dramatically in the wild, making it now very difficult to find them in their original habitat.
Daily events during the three days will consist of live music, student performance, kid’s world, Jungle Night market and competitions for kids such as Jungle storytelling, drawing contests, coloring competitions, Jungle Drum challenges, fashion shows and photogenic competition.
The festival starts from 11:00 am until 9:00pm on each day of the festival at the Bali Zoo parking Area.
