Grand Nikko Bali has appointed Carmelina Vitale as director of sales - Australia, based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Carmelina will oversee the sales and marketing for the important Australia and New Zealand markets for the Grand Nikko Bali. In this role, she will also be responsible for analyzing and predicting market trends; proactively researching and recommending strategies to further promote the hotel in these markets.
Carmelina career in the Australian travel industry began in 1992 as a travel consultant before moving to the airline industry working for Ansett Australia. She later joined Garuda Indonesia in Brisbane overseeing the airline's sales and Garuda Orient Holidays before that office closed in 2007.
A mother of two, she has also worked in a family-owned business.
"Her strong background in the travel industry, especially in sales will play a critical part in her new role," explained Jean-Charles Le Coz, general manager of Grand Nikko Bali. Adding: "She understands Bali and knows what the customer wants. Carmelina will be a great asset for the company and we are sure that she will bring something new for both the customer and the resort."
